I have been attending Bottom up Bootcamp for five months; for my efforts I have lost 40 pounds, made some new friends, had a good laugh and done about a million jumping jacks.  No matter what fitness level you currently at Karen Johnson can and will take you to the next fitness level.  Like anything that is worth it, these workouts are challenging and do require a measure of fortitude but that’s what makes them enjoyable and rewarding.  Karen keeps the workouts different almost daily and her dynamic warm up techniques get the blood pumping from the start.  For the camaraderie, enjoyment and physical results I have seen, instructor Johnson will have my business for a long while to come. The "Bottom-Up Boot Camp" is a fun and intense work-out that gets my heart rate and my endorphins up. I enjoy the variety of cardio exercises that the class has, plus the camraderie I receive from the other participants. I was 71 years old; 254 lb; with type 2 diabetes; high blood pressure; hypertension; high cholesterol; taking a combination of 9 pills daily. Under the guidance of our trainer; Mrs. Karen Johnson; I have had a complete lifestyle change. I am fast walking on the average of 2.5 miles every day, exercise classes three times a week, and have changed my eating habits. No white flour, breads or rice. I am eating lots of vegetables, nuts and grains. No red meats at al! Perhaps some fish about every two weeks.

I attended one of her seminars on eating habits and found it to be very informative and have been putting her advice to good use.

At the present my weight is down to 227 lb; blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure are normal and I am no longer taking any type of medication. Basically I am now disease-free with the help and encouragement from Karen Johnson

I find her to be a very knowledgeable, very spiritual and loving Christian human being.

Praise God for Karen and the message she gives about our bodies being a vessel for God's Love and must be kept fit.

Hello, my name is Linda Bacon-Henson and I attend St. Paul Baptist Church where I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Karen Johnson.

Karen conducts aerobics classes and offers 1:1 training sessions at the church.  I am a dialysis patient and have strict diet and some minor physical limitations.  While I have not had the opportunity to have a consultation with Karen, I have picked up on some valuable suggestions for maximizing and working within the limitations of my diet.  Before meeting Karen, the only exercise I did was two nights a week of aqua aerobics at the gym.  Now I do three days and 1 night of Karen’s class plus the two nights of aqua aerobics.  Since I have been taking Karen's class, I am now much more motivated.  While working out, I am both physically and mentally involved in the activity which further increases the benefits.

If you ever have the opportunity to work with Karen, I strongly recommend it.  She is a great motivator; she makes the class fun and exciting (I can't wait to get started).  She has a "can do" attitude and passes that on to you. Karen is very knowledgeable about the body, exercise and nutrition and how you can combine all 3 and live a healthy, spiritual life.  I find her to be kind, caring and fun to be around.  She has really helped me in the short time I have been working with her and I'm sure you would benefit as well.
